Bronx Colours Makeup Review

A few months ago Bronx Makeup were kind enough to give me a blogger pack full of a lot of their makeup to try out.

Bronx Colour is a relatively new brand in the makeup industry. They are against animal testing and market themselves as Urban Cosmetics at an affordable price. As a disclaimer, this is not a sponsored post and everything I say is my honest opinion on what I think of the product.

So to start off with they gave me a large box which is called their ‘blogger pack’. It came with a lot of different makeup such as eyeshadow palettes, lip products, primers and face makeup.

The first thing that I tried was the primers. I had a face primer, a poreless primer and an eye primer. I have no bad things to say about the performance of these products. I use the facial primer every single day as it keeps my makeup on extremely well. The only thing I will say about this product is that it has a very strong smell when you originally take the product out, but this does seem to fade.

The poreless primer is a nude colour which makes it virtually invisible when you put it on and this leaves your skin feeling silky and extremely soft, as well as filling in any larger pores you have.

When I originally opened the eye primer I was a bit sceptical because it was a very fluid consistency and I thought it would make the eyeshadow slip off straight away. However it did make my eyeshadow last all night without any creasing and it actually has similar results to my higher end primers such as the Mac and Lorac ones I own.

The pack also came with this sponge brush which I was very glad to see due to my interest in beauty blenders. This is another one of the items that has seemed to make its way into my daily routine. I use it to put on under eye concealer as it gives a smooth finish and takes away any excess product.

They also included four different eyeshadow palettes. The first one had quite smokey colours in it and the pigmentation of the darker colours is very good. The lighter colours although quite sheer have a very nice shine to them and work quite well as hilight colours.

My favourite palette they sent me was the Burlesque palette (the one on the left) as it had more neutral usable colours and the pigmentation on this palette was in my opinion the best.

The Angels (the one on the right) palette also had very good pigmentation and the colours would be extremely good for a more bold look rather than a natural one.

The final eyeshadow palette was actually apart of a lipgloss set as well. This palette had the largest range of colours and you could use them in lots of different looks. The lipgloss layer underneath the palette I haven’t really used as I don’t tend to be a fan of lipgloss that is put in pan form.

On the left of the picture is a pocket set which includes a blush and two eyeshadow colours. The blush is a very subtle pink which is very nice on a day-to-day basis, however I would prefer it to be a little bigger as you can only really use a small brush.

The compact powder, although slightly too dark for me is very smooth on application and there is actually a very large amount in the compact for the small amount you need to use.

I was also fortunate enough to be given a rather large amount of lip products. The first swatch on the left is their matte lipstick, its a very soft consistency and almost melts as its put on. It’s also a very bright red and is perfect for a bright red look.

The next one across is the legendary lipstick in the shade ‘aubergine’. The packaging of this lipstick is really exciting as it pops out at the press of a button. The consistency is similar to the matt lipstick however its a bit thinner and more pigmented.

The lip-stain although advertised as a red colour has a much pinker tone to it. Once it had dried it seemed to have truly stained the skin as it still does not seem to want to come off my skin!

The lip smoothie is my favourite lip product. It actually smells like fruit! It has such a thick and moisturising consistency as well as adding a subtle pink colour to your lips.

Finally, the last item is the skinny mascara. The brush on this was so small and it made applying mascara to my lower lashes super easy! Something I like to do after applying the mascara from this container is putting a layer of waterproof over the top of that because it can be prone to smudging on the lower lashes.

Overall, all the products I have been sent i’m very happy with and will continue to use 🙂
