As a school, we were lucky enough to get tickets to the Armani Exhibition in Milan by Giorgio Armani. Out of all the places we visited this was by far my favourite due to the vast amount of beautiful clothing.
This exhibition was over four floors, and contained clothing from the 1980’s to today. The clothes were organised into different themes, not by any date order. On the ground floor was a ‘Stars’ theme, and all the clothes they dedicated to daywear.
On the first floor the theme ‘Esotismi’, which translates to exoticism. This floor contained what I personally thought, the most wacky designs. This was also my favourite collection 🙂
The third floor was ‘Cromatismi’ which translates to colours, unfortunately I didn’t manage to get many good photos of this collection due to the background colours and the many shimmery materials that were not best friends with my camera…
The final floor was the collection ‘Luce’, meaning light. This was a beautiful floor with very delicate designs consisting of quite a lot of lace and embellishments.
I definitely recommend visiting this exhibition if you are in Milan, at only 15€ entrance fee it’s a bargain and I learnt a lot about the Armani brand and how it has developed over the past 25 years. Oh, and if that doesn’t convince you, the Italian guides spread around the whole of the exhibition were gorgeous! 😉
